A little out of the way gem. Four different Seafood entrees each perfectly cooked, each with a distinct yet subtle sauce. The chef proprietor obviously knows his way around a kitchen. A reasonably priced, international wine list is a plus.

From the minute you walk through the door and meet Betty, with her warm simile, infectious laugh and efficient demeanor, you know this is the place you want to be. I enjoyed the Courtney's Royal omelet with a side of Hollandaise (what ever you get take my advice and have hollandaise with it, To die for!!!) the breakfast potatoes were somewhere between a French fry and a potato chip, wow were they good. The toast was toasted just right Golden brown not burnt and not just heated (a pet peeve of mine, why can't you toast bread so it is golden or even a little brown, not just warmed over to melt the butter) Well prepared with delicious ingredients and eye pleasing presentation, what's not to love. I could not believe the price as I would have paid a lot more and never thought anything about it.

Courtney's is located in an unassuming location in a strip mall by Tanger Outlets. We have driven by many times...that will change after our visit on Thursday night. From the moment we stepped through the door, we knew we had found a gem. The place was packed and if we didn't have reservations, I don't think they could have accommodated us! We had the shrimp cocktail and the artichoke appetizers to start. My two companions said they could have shared the artichoke appetizer, but they loved it! 2 of us had 2 different chicken dishes-Amazing! And the other person had duck and raved about it. Unfortunately, we didn't have room for dessert because they looked wonderful! The only suggestion we had was the "champagne" was actually sparkling wine. Our waiter was so accommodating when we realized this. We will definitely be back! Everyone was so professional, accommodating and friendly.

Great food, great service. Definitely worth a stop on the way in/out of Sanibel/Captiva or if at the outlets.

We enjoyed a wonderful dinner here recently, so we brought guests to try Sunday brunch. Not up to the dinner standards. My husband is a big fan of eggs benedict, but these were very salty, and the waiter was defensive about it, not apologetic, nor did he offer something else. Hubby said they were no better than Perkins....oh, my. My Island Crab Melt was very tasty, but skimpy. Our guests enjoyed their omelettes, however. Note to waiter: while attentive service is appreciated, interruption of ongoing conversations is not. He interrupted a story being told, several times, without taking note if this was a good time to ask if we needed anything. Ruined a couple of good punch lines. Approach the table, and determine if this is a good time to ask if all is well. Don't just "barge in".

Visited Courtney's on a recent trip to FT Myers with my mom. It was close and had good reviews so what the hell! Shared a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc, not the one we ordered because they were out, but an equally delicious white. The side salads (both the house and Caesar) were very tasty, but the portion size was laughable. So small! Not in an upscale restaurant way, but in a we-are-running-out-of-lettuce way. The crab cakes were very, very good. Large chucks of crab, a little fresh lemon on the side, YUM!! Lava cake, not really lava cake. Please don't call it that if it it just a rich warm chocolate cake. I wanted it to be full of molten chocolate!! It tasted okay though, or maybe it was that bottle of wine talking.. ;) All in all, if this were in Chicago, it would be a solid 3 stars. But because it was in a random location in Ft Myers, 4 stars.

brunch was on point. can't wait to come back for dinner. I would say for the amount of people in there (not many) service was a little slow.

WE LIKE COURTNEY and he was our waitperson. His mother was in the kitchen. Six of us went in for an early meal and had a delightful time. To be completely honest it was probably in the 4 1/2 STAR range, but we liked the place and thus the 5. The soup of the day was lentil with sausage and it was excellent. My Veal Piccata was about 4 STARS. The veal portion was small and the accompanying baked potato and broccoli rather average. My wife thought her Veal Parmigiana with Linguini was good although the linguini was not especially al dente. Ambiance-4 STARS Service - 5 STARS Food - 4 STARS Location - 3 1/2 STARS Value - 5 STARS

Brunch on Sunday morning tends to be charged with emotional expectation. When you go out for brunch you generally expect to pay a little more, and you want to have a festive and happy meal while enjoying family or friends. I happened to try Courtney's Continental Cuisine on Sunday July 27th. I was visiting and was taken there by my host. I never would have tried it as it is located in a nondescript store front in a strip center far enough off the highway that I would have driven right on by with out the local knowledge introduction. What an introduction it was. We arrived at 2PM which was close to closing. We were seated and given menus. I ordered a Bloody Mary which started a wave so we all ordered one. That is where the fun began. We all remarked, with a little lip smacking, about how wonderful it was. It was the best Bloody Mary I've had in a very long time. When it came to the food we all ordered a variety of Eggs Benedict. Mine was Crab Benedict. Instead of an English muffin a crab cake was substituted. It was wonderful! Everyone exclaimed about how good their own variety was. We were all so happy with the food that the festive nature of the meal was boosted and we left there with a great sense of having had a great time and a great meal. This is a neighborhood place. It is the kind of gem that cannot exist in the big city. The quality suffers or the price skyrockets. It is worth seeking out but look sharply or you will drive on by. As always I don't mind paying. I just need to perceive the value in what I am paying for. There was good value here.

We have been here many times, and we are never disappointed. Our server Courtney, was attentive , the food delicious and the price reasonable for the excellent quality of the food. We opted for the early dining specials, I chose the chicken Marsala and my husband had the fish of the day, grouper. Meals started with fresh bread, and yummy salads. The entrees were perfect and my husband had the largest piece of Key Lime pie I have ever seen. One of our regular choices for Sunday dinner.

This restaurant is absolutely delicious. They really know how to cook. Firstly, walking in you feel the attractive dining room and bar. Our server's name was Thomas, and he is a truly professional waiter. Secondly, but more impotantly is the food. Ceasar salad could not have been better. Perfectly tossed, dressing could not have been better, parmigian cheese is the good stuff, real tangy, not waxy if you know what I mean. I had the duck. Now if you are a duck eater, you also know that is is not easily prepared. It was cooked perfectly. Skin crispy and no burnt edges. On top a delicious grand marnier sauce with a hint of orange. I am sure that you had these types of sauces on duck before that were clawing and overwelmed the duck meat. NOT THIS ONE. my wife had the Steak Diane. served medium rare as requested. The brandy demi glaze cream sauce with mushrooms, shallots and peppercorns was the best she ever had. I tasted it as well, and I have to agree. dishes are served with your choice of potato and veggie. This particular evening the veggie was broccoli. Cooked and still crisp with a small amount of a cream and buttersauce that absolutely complimented it. Oh, I forgot to mention the bread. Very crisp with a soft center. You know how hard it is to get good bread in Florida. We didnt have dessert because we are watching our weight, but, based on everything wemate, I would be very confident it too would be outstanding. This is the longestnreview I ever wrote. It is because that is how impressed I was with this place. Final note, I met the wife of this huband and wife team. She told me that her husband makes every dish that comes out of the kitchen. KUDOS to him. Cannot wait to go back.

Gave this place a try because of the recent profile in the local paper. Really wanted to like it but it's not my kind of place. The crispy duck quickly became soggy duck with the over use of the Grand Marnier sauce. The sides were rather tasteless. It became apparent that the food presentation and flavors were an homage to the 80's. The dining room itself was dark and poorly lit and noted the tables were full of the locals. It seemed like a nice neighborhood meeting place. The wait staff were exceptional and professional.
